Marriage Is Good

With my previous post addressed to wives and advising them not to be chat too much, I thought it would be only fair to look at the other side of the coin and ask husbands: Do you talk to your wife? (Well, you didn’t think I’d just pick on the wives, did you?.. )

So do you talk to your wife? I do not mean exchanges of information about bills, insurance, broken washer, and kids, I mean conversation. Sharing something that is of interest to you or to her, asking her about things you know are important to her – pretty much like you did when you were dating. If you stopped doing it at least once in a while, your wife probably feels that you no longer care about her as a person.

I’m not saying that you should discuss her shopping in every detail; I happen to dislike shopping myself, so I understand how detestable it would be. I wouldn’t be able to fake interest for long, and I am not suggesting that you should. I am sure you can find things to talk about that are of interest to you both.
